Dr. Moses Oyagi is a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in the management and implementation of complex multi-cultural projects; strategic forward-planning; and research programs. Dr. Oyagi holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, a MSc. in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, a BSc. in Mathematics & Chemistry from the University of Nairobi. Oyagi is finalizing a M.A. in Monitoring and Evaluation from Daystar University and currently pursuing a MSc. in Data Analytics and Information Systems Management from Arden University, UK. In addition to his academic qualifications, he has twelve years of experience in service delivery intervention design, implementation and management, as well as in conducting descriptive and operations research. Dr. Oyagi is conversant with both qualitative and quantitative research methods and able to successfully partner with diverse stakeholders in assessing the relevance, performance and success of programs. He has not only demonstrated the ability to research or evaluate projects and direct technical assistance projects on knowledge gap analysis, but also ensure impact assessment, quality assurance and improvement, program planning through result oriented framework, and use data for decision making. He has worked with various international non-governmental organizations including, Chemonics International, Family Health International 360 (FHI360), Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International and International Rescue Committee (IRC) in the Capacity of M&E specialist.
Dr. Oyagi is also a founder and director of Moyagi Consultancy and has carried out a number of evaluations as an independent consultant for local and international organizations including; Practical Action, Feed the Children among others. He is Proficient in SPSS, QSR NUD*IST, STATA, EPI-Info, EPI-Data. Dr. Oyagi has also lectured and supervised Masters and Ph.D. students on Analytical Chemistry at University of Nairobi, Technical University of Kenya and Kenyatta University. He has published widely on biochemical and Analytical Chemistry with a special focus on Water resources. Dr. Oyagi’s key professional areas are in Monitoring and Evaluation, Research, Capacity-building, Development and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Audits.
At ESK, he leads and coordinates all the financial and accounting aspects of the Society as the Treasurer.
